The Fernco Storm-T has been specifically designed as a lateral connection for stormwater (or surface water) pipes. Our product design team have interrogated all of the issues with similar connections and tested multiple product feature options to bring to market a saddle, we believe, is the best solution for its application, combining ease of installation and high performance.
The connection has undergone testing both in-house and in site conditions, against Fernco’s stringent and wide ranging criteria.

Depth Setting System

The depth setting system allows the installer to easily lock the rubber body in place, ensuring the tapered seal on the inside of the pipe remains in contact with the inside of the pipe. The system includes multiple depth options, making the connection universal for a multitude of pipe brands and profiles and thus different pipe thicknesses.
Internal Pushfit Rubber

The internal pushfit rubber is a ribbed design, which provides multiple sealing zones to the internal surface of a DN150 (150mm internal diameter) lateral pipe. By utilising the internal surface of the lateral pipe, the Fernco Storm-T becomes universal to pretty much all DN150/150mm ID lateral pipe materials, including smooth plastic, twinwall plastic, clay, cast iron etc. The tapered edges of the internal pushfit rubber ensures a free-flowing transition for surface water.
Tapered Finish Inside the Pipe

The finish inside the pipe follows the curvature of the internal pipe surface, unlike similar flat bottomed seals. This feature ensures bore intrusion is minimised and to give even more peace of mind, the finish is tapered, ensuring little to no impact on free flowing surface water.
