Objective:
Provide a permanent solution that would save the client time and money in labour and materials when connecting into main sewer line.

Fernco range of Internal Connections. Icon Couplings provided the ideal solution needed to save time keeping minimal interruptions to residents.

Perren & Penny Plumbing and Civil were the preferred contractor to build a 5 residential house lot subdivision in Nambour QLD. All works are to be completed and approved by Unitywater as per the SEQ Code.

The DICl pipe had to be removed and replaced, as it was not on the new alignment. Due to the design of the subdivision, the replacement pipe was approved to be 150 SN8 PVC pipe.

The original DICl pipe spigot at the manhole connection was still in a satisfactory condition. This meant the contractor was able to cut the DICl pipe in order to make a join without potentially damaging the concrete manhole and incurring increased costs.

The contractor was aware of the Icon coupling and it’s approval on the SEQ IPAM. The Icon was the most efficient method for joining the DICl to PVC due to each pipe having different OD’s and being quick and easy to install.
