PA Saddle on DN300 Polysewer

Objective:
Provide a time and cost effective solution for installing a 160mm plastic lateral pipe into a main DN300 Polysewer pipe.

Solution:
Fernco’s improved PA Saddle was installed at the desired locations allowing the connections to be made and the rest of the project to continue.

Fernco’s previous PA Saddle design was not suitable for DN300 Polysewer, as the pipe’s wall structure was too thin to create a seal against without protruding into the pipe significantly.

With design improvements to the PA Saddle, Fernco have achieved not only a reliable connection solution to DN300 Polysewer, but to all DN300 plastic manufactured pipes.

The range of PA Saddles has changed from a lateral connection for twinwall pipes to a lateral connection for plastic pipes, bringing to market an innovation that is
truly universal.

Fernco were able to support these two sites, in Scotland and the South of England, which were both installing DN300 Polysewer. In these scenarios, Fernco were now able to provide the contractors with a WRc Approved connection that saved them time and money. Furthermore it has provided them with a flexible solution which can be installed prior to laying the system or retro-fitted afterwards.

This method allowed the contractors to deal with any positioning issues easily, which would have been much more difficult if installing traditional junctions.
